About
Meet Benjamin, a delightful little boy who is funny, energetic, and kind-hearted. At the tender age of 4, he discovered his passion for metal detecting. It all began when he stumbled upon a ring in a nearby park without even using his metal detector. From that moment on, Benjamin became a dedicated detectorist and was always eager to show off his latest finds to his friends.
As Benjamin grew older, so did his heart. He was inspired by his older sister, who had started her own small bracelet business called Inspired by Elizabeth to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital. Seeing the impact that his sister had made, Benjamin was determined to follow in her footsteps and do something for charity.
One day, while camping at Rock Garden Campground, Benjamin learned that the office was collecting pop tabs for someone in need of a wheelchair. This sparked a fire in Benjamin’s heart, and he knew that this was what he wanted to do. He made it his mission to collect as many pop tabs as possible to donate to Rock Garden for the little boy in need.
At only 6 years old, Benjamin was on a quest to collect as many pop tabs as he could. He approached every camper he could find, asking for their pop tabs, and soon he had a large ziplock bag full of them. From then on, he was hooked.
Benjamin’s current goal is to fill his giant plastic pop bottle with as many tabs as possible. He is doing remarkably well, even visiting local businesses like Romeo Bros Barbers & Hairstyling to collect their pop tabs from recycling.
As detectorists, we often collect many pop tabs and simply dispose of them in the recycling or garbage. However, if you want to support this young boy’s dream, feel free to drop off your pop tabs for him to collect.
Benjamin is a go-getter with a big heart, and he is an inspiration to us all. Let us all learn from his kindness and dedication to making a difference in the world.
